Sherry Johnson

Sherry grew up in the world of sled dogs, spending her childhood traveling the country as her parents raced open-class sprint teams. She began racing herself in elementary school and continued all through high school, falling in love with the sport and the trails she still calls home. Today, Sherry co-manages a kennel with her husband, Matt Monke, and continues to run many of the same routes she grew up on. With 20 years of mushing experience, she’s excited to make her Klondike debut as a Rookie alongside her lead dog, Scottie. When she’s not out with the team, Sherry enjoys spending her free time farming and staying connected to the land.
